Mintos recently sent investors a reminder worth acting on: the Mintos app puts a whole portfolio in your pocket, across every asset class the platform offers. That’s a good excuse to walk through what the app actually covers today — what each product costs to get into, what the app itself can do beyond just watching a balance, and a couple of honest caveats worth knowing before you rely on it as your main way of managing a Mintos account. Figures below are from Mintos’ own site, checked on 23 September 2026.
What you can invest in, from the app
| Product | Entry point | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Loans | From €50 | Core Loans (automated portfolio): around 9.2% APY per Mintos’ current figures; Custom and Manual loan selection also available |
| Bonds | From €50 | Corporate high-yield bonds, automated portfolio or pick individual bonds yourself |
| ETFs | From €1 (fractional) / €50 (automated) | 1,000+ ETFs, no Mintos order fees (the fund provider’s own annual fee still applies) |
| Real Estate | — | Rental income and potential appreciation, without buying or managing a property |
| Crypto ETPs | From €5 | Regulated ETPs from BlackRock iShares and VanEck, launched 17 March 2026 with Upvest — no separate crypto wallet needed |
| Smart Cash | — | Up to 2.5% p.a., via the BlackRock ICS Euro Liquidity Fund (a money market fund), same-day withdrawal with no fees |
| Stocks | — | Listed as “coming soon” on Mintos |
Two things worth being precise about. Smart Cash is a money market fund, not a bank deposit — it isn’t covered by the EUR 100,000 deposit guarantee we described in our savings accounts comparison, since a money market fund’s value can technically move, even if in practice it rarely does. And the crypto ETPs are Mintos’ newest addition — regulated exchange-traded products tracking crypto prices, not direct ownership of the underlying coins, which is a meaningfully different (and for most people, simpler) way to get exposure.
What the app adds beyond the website
Beyond just displaying a balance, the app carries over the platform’s core tools: biometric login and two-factor authentication, Mintos Strategies for automated investing, access to the secondary market if you want to exit a position early, and recurring investment plans you can schedule weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly. It’s currently on version 1.95.0 (released 3 September 2026), available on both the App Store and Google Play.
One honest caveat: at the time of writing, the iOS listing shows a 4.0-star rating from only 10 ratings — too small a sample to read much into either way. Worth trying yourself rather than judging by that number.
Who’s behind it
Mintos is a regulated investment firm, licensed and supervised by Latvijas Banka (Latvia’s central bank) under MiFID II, with over 600,000 investors across Europe and roughly EUR 700 million in assets on the platform. As with any regulated investment firm, this covers how client money is segregated and supervised — it’s not the same protection as a bank deposit guarantee, and every product above still carries its own investment risk.
Getting started
If you don’t have a Mintos account yet, you can register and download the app through this link. Good timing, too: the INVEST26 bonus campaign we covered here is still running until 30 September 2026 — up to 500 EUR depending on how much you invest, on top of whatever the app makes easier to manage day to day.
