7 U.S. Dividend Stocks Going Ex-Dividend This Week, Plus HSBC (November 2–6, 2026)

Seven U.S. stocks and HSBC go ex-dividend November 2-6, 2026. Amounts, payment dates, yields, payout checks and withholding-tax notes for European investors.

Bar chart of approximate dividend yields for seven U.S. stocks going ex-dividend November 2 to 6, 2026: Pfizer 5.6%, SiriusXM 3.7%, East West Bancorp 2.4%, Wells Fargo 2.4%, MetLife 2.4%, Norfolk Southern 1.6%, Wintrust 1.4%

To collect a company’s next dividend you have to own the shares before its ex-dividend date. Below are seven U.S. dividend payers with ex-dividend dates this week (November 2–6, 2026), plus HSBC from the United Kingdom: the amount, the payment date and what to check before you decide the yield is worth having. Our previous list is in the October 20–23 article.

How ex-dividend dates work (quick refresher)

  • Buy the stock before the ex-dividend date to receive the upcoming payment; buying on or after that date means you miss it.
  • For U.S. stocks the ex-dividend date and the record date are now the same day, so the company announcements below list the record date and the calendars list that same day as ex-dividend.
  • On the ex-dividend date the share price typically falls by roughly the dividend amount.
  • One quarterly payment is not a reason to buy a stock you would not otherwise hold.

Yields are my arithmetic: four times the latest quarterly dividend, divided by the October 2026 month-end price shown by Digrin (October 30 was the last trading day of the month). Prices move daily, so the yield you see on your screen will differ. Ex-dividend dates, amounts and payment dates come from the company announcements listed in the Sources section, except where noted.

The U.S. stocks, in order of ex-dividend date

East West Bancorp (EWBC)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 2. The bank holding company declared $0.80 per share, payable November 17, in a Form 8-K dated October 20, 2026. Because the ex-date is today, the last day to buy was Friday, October 30. Third-quarter diluted EPS was $2.76, so the quarterly dividend is about 29% of it (my calculation). As a bank, its earnings depend on interest rates and credit quality.

MetLife (MET)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 3. $0.5925 per share, declared October 6 and payable December 8. MetLife reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.43, up 20% (August 5), which puts the quarterly dividend at about 24% of that quarter’s adjusted EPS (my calculation). Adjusted EPS is a company-defined measure; net income per share was $1.09 in the same quarter, so check which figure a coverage ratio uses.

Wintrust Financial (WTFC)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 5. $0.55 per share, announced October 22 and payable November 19. 24/7 Wall St. puts third-quarter EPS at $3.37 and the payout at roughly 16%. At 1.4%, the yield is the lowest on this list.

Wells Fargo (WFC)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 6. $0.50 per share, announced October 27 and payable December 1. Third-quarter net income was $5,951 million, with diluted EPS of $1.87 against $1.66 a year earlier (October 13 release), so the dividend is about 27% of the quarter’s EPS (my calculation). The same release reports $2.5 billion of share repurchases, which is a second way the bank returns cash.

Norfolk Southern (NSC)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 6. $1.35 per share, announced October 21 and payable November 20. Third-quarter diluted EPS was $3.37 (adjusted $3.62, up from $3.30), so the dividend is about 40% of GAAP EPS (my calculation). The adjusted figure excludes merger-related expenses, so compare like with like when you read coverage numbers.

Pfizer (PFE)

Ex-dividend / record date: November 6. $0.43 per share, announced October 6 and payable December 7. At $1.72 a year, the dividend equals about 57% to 61% of Pfizer’s 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $2.80–$3.00 (my calculation; guidance reaffirmed on August 4). That is a high payout, and the 5.6% yield is the highest on the list partly because the share price is low. Pfizer reports third-quarter results on November 3; see our Pfizer earnings preview for what to watch.

SiriusXM (SIRI)

Ex-dividend date: November 6. $0.27 per share, payable November 23. I could not find the company’s own announcement for this payment, so the dates come from 24/7 Wall St. (October 30) and Digrin, which agree with each other; confirm them with your broker. 24/7 Wall St. reports third-quarter EPS of $0.78 (about 35% payout) and free cash flow of $293 million against $91 million of dividends paid.

From the UK: HSBC

HSBC is listed in London, so it is British rather than an EU company. Its third interim dividend of $0.10 per ordinary share (announced October 27) is declared in U.S. dollars and goes ex-dividend on November 5 in London and Hong Kong, and on November 6 for the New York ADSs, where each ADS equals five shares and the payment is $0.50. The record date is November 6 and the payment date is December 17. For London-listed shares the ex-dividend date and the record date are different days.

Third-quarter profit before tax was $9.6 billion, up 32%, mostly because $1.4 billion of legal provisions in the year-earlier quarter did not recur. EPS was $0.41 against $0.28. The dividend is the same $0.10 as a year ago. HSBC targets a 50% payout of EPS excluding material notable items for 2026–2028, an annual target, so a single quarter does not show the ratio. The bank also plans another buyback of up to $1 billion, and its CET1 capital ratio was 13.9% at September 30, below its 14%–14.5% medium-term range. I did not calculate a yield here because I did not use a share price for the ADS or the London line.

High yield, or steady payer?

  • Highest yield: Pfizer at about 5.6%, with a payout of 57% to 61% of guided EPS. Tomorrow’s results will show whether guidance holds.
  • Lowest payout ratios: Wintrust (about 16%), MetLife (about 24%), Wells Fargo (about 27%) and East West Bancorp (about 29%), though banks and insurers are tied to rates and credit conditions.
  • Too late for this one: East West Bancorp goes ex-dividend today, so the shares trade without the payment from the open.
  • Data to double-check: SiriusXM, where the dates come from data providers rather than a company release.

Notes for European investors

  • U.S. dividends are subject to a 30% withholding tax by default, typically reduced to 15% (or the rate in your country’s treaty) once your broker has a W-8BEN form on file. Our W-8BEN guide explains the steps, and dividend withholding tax by country compares eight major markets.
  • UK companies generally do not withhold tax on dividends, but your own country may tax them, and the HSBC ADS dividend arrives in dollars, so exchange rates matter.
  • The U.S. shares trade in dollars, so the euro–dollar rate affects your return as well.
